Is it for everyone to use ?

When I first read the description, I understood the idea of discovering spells and potions from all around the world. And frankly, the editing of the book is great, the illustrations are amazing, and the overall book has good intentions. But, the inclusion of closed practices like voodoo or American shaman practices, and even the g-slur which is overly used, makes doubt about the ability of everyone reading this. Because if not aware of cultural appropriation, practices that are closed and sacred or racial motivated slurs, many mistakes towards tonnes of communities can be made, and that's not the goal thing to be reached I am sure. That's a real black spot for me as a reader, and I know it's something to say to the author of the book and not the website that sells it, no hate of course, I just wanted to bring attention to the wording of the book and how harmful it can seem. Or I could be wrong, being new to magic practices and magical communities, but I felt like it was important to say something just in case.

Anyway, not everything is to throw away of course, just be careful with the use of everything included in the book, and keep your critical spirit at all times. Have a lovely day =]
