How To Use Essential Oils

Essential oils are a great way to help ease yourself of stress, anxiety, headaches and so much more! Lavender is renowned for helping you to relax and sleep better but did you know that it can also be used to help treat acne? There are many different ways in which you can use an essential oil so we've created a list of our top methods for you.

Oil Burner - Great for filling a room with the aroma of your chosen oil. Simply add a few drops into the top of the burner (remember to add your water first so that the burner doesn't crack!) and then allow the soft bubbling sound and the scent of the essential oil to ease your mind

In The Bath - Add essential oils to your bath to create the ultimate relaxing experience (when an essential oil is coming into direct contact with the skin we always recommend diluting with a base or carrier oil first. You can shop our carrier oils here). We all know that Lavender is great for relaxing and inducing sleep so try adding a few drops to your bath and then heading straight to bed for a peaceful nights sleep 💤

On Jewellery - Sometimes you need the scent of an essential oil with you throughout the day, not just in the evening when you get home! A great way to achieve this is with our diffuser jewellery - add a couple of drops to each lava stone and they will release the scent slowly throughout the day. We have necklaces and bracelets available here

On Your Skin - Essential oils aren't just great for healing headaches, stress and anxiety, they can also be used topically to treat skin conditions such as acne or eczema. We always recommend diluting first with a carrier or base oil as directly applying an essential oil to your skin can cause a reaction. The general rule of thumb here is 2 drops of essential oil to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil. You can find a range of carrier oils here

On A Tissue - This method is particularly useful if you are suffering from a cold or a headache as you can inhale the essential oil to the strength you require. Simply drop a few drops onto a clean tissue and hold close to your nose.
